$ 2,518.00
A complete journey through the World’s Most Beautiful Mountain, Alpamayo, and Peru’s highest peak, Huascarán, surrounded by breathtaking and remote landscapes. Enjoy a spectacular sunset over Cañón del Pato, where the Cordillera Blanca and Cordillera Negra meet. Discover the ancient agricultural terraces of the «Kingdom of the Abysses» at Auquis Puquio, an old natural spring.
The route passes through the legendary Alpamayo Base Camp, surrounded by magnificent 6,000-meter peaks such as Santa Cruz, Quitaraju, and Milluacocha. Along the way, you’ll encounter flocks of sheep and alpacas grazing in remote valleys, traditional Andean villages where locals still wear their native attire, and fields of quinoa and kiwicha (Andean grains).
This is a journey where every day offers a new landscape, a new experience, and a new adventure.

Acclimatization trek in the Cordillera Negra.
Departing from Huaraz in a private vehicle, we will pass through the towns of the Callejón de Huaylas (Carhuaz, Yungay, and Caraz), then take the Colcas turnoff and begin ascending to Hualcallan (3,140 m), where we will start the trek. We will follow a mule trail uphill to Huishcash, where we will set up our first campsite.
We hike along the edge of the canyon, with views of Yanacocha and Azulcocha lakes, before continuing along the shores of Cullicocha Lake, offering stunning views of Santa Cruz Mountain. We then continue ascending to Cullicocha Pass (4,850 m) and Alto Alpamayo Pass (4,650 m), before descending to Osoruri (4,400 m), where we will set up our second campsite.
We descend into the Cedros Valley and continue towards the Alpamayo Valley, where we will set up our third campsite at 3,800 m. From here, we will enjoy a spectacular view of the pyramidal shape of Alpamayo Mountain (5,947 m), considered one of the most beautiful mountains in the world. Third campsite setup.
On this day, we will visit Jancarurish Lake (4,250 m), ascending to enjoy spectacular views of Alpamayo and Quitaraju. We will then descend back to the campsite.
We leave the campsite, crossing a small stream before beginning the ascent towards Caracara Pass (4,830 m). We then descend through the Moyabamba Valley, cross Mesapampa Pass (4,500 m), and continue descending into the Huillca Valley (4,300 m), where we will set up our fourth campsite.
We leave the campsite through the Yanta Queñua Valley, heading towards Yanajanca Pass (4,600 m). We then descend through the Laurel Valley, reaching Jancapampa (3,600 m), where we will set up our fifth campsite.
We will leave through the Jancapampa Valley and reach the hamlet of Pishgopampa (3,600 m). We then begin ascending through the Tingopampa Valley to Tupatupa Pass (4,400 m), before descending to Quishuar (3,800 m), where we will set up our sixth campsite.
After breakfast, we will set off to reach Alto de Pucaraju Pass (4,650 m). From this point, we will have excellent views of the Huaripampa Valley and the snow-capped peaks of Taulliraju and Pucaraju (5,025 m). We will then descend to Huaripampa (3,700 m), where we will set up our seventh campsite.
Easy descent through the small villages of Huaripampa, Colcabamba, and Chalhua. The trail continues along the mountainside before turning towards the entrance of the Queshu Valley. We then reach Molinopampa, where we will set up camp.
Still in the Queshu Valley, we begin the ascent along a zigzagging trail. We will camp at the viewpoint (4,450 m), a natural balcony offering spectacular views of the Contrahierbas Glacier, where seracs frequently break off.
From the ridge, an exceptional view awaits us of Chopicalqui and Huascarán. We then descend to the Ulta campsite, where we say goodbye to our muleteer team before transferring to Marcará. Hotel accommodation.
