Akilpo – Ishinca High Route Trek

$ 120.00

This spectacular high-altitude traverse connects the remote Akilpo Valley with the renowned Ishinca Valley in the Cordillera Blanca. The route crosses some of the most pristine landscapes of the Peruvian Andes, passing through high mountain lagoons, glacial valleys, and impressive viewpoints of the surrounding snow-capped peaks.

Starting from Honcopampa, the trail ascends gradually toward the beautiful Akilpo Lagoon before reaching the Urus Pass (5,000 m), the highest point of the trek. From the pass, trekkers descend into the Ishinca Valley, home to some of the most famous mountains of the Cordillera Blanca, including Urus, Ishinca, and Tocllaraju.

This is an ideal trek for adventure seekers looking for a challenging and less crowded route, combining breathtaking scenery, high-altitude trekking, and an authentic wilderness experience. Proper acclimatization is essential due to the altitude.
