Acceptance and acknowledgment of our Terms and Conditions

The terms and conditions outlined in this document are mandatory and binding. They apply to all bookings and activities made through our website, via email, or in person. The use of any of these channels implies full knowledge and acceptance of these terms.

Modification of Terms of Use

Expe Perú reserves the right to make modifications or updates to our terms of use at any time. It is the client’s responsibility to review them.

Booking Confirmation

Once the client submits their booking request, the confirmation will be subject to proof of payment as per the request, detailing all included and excluded services. If no response is received from the client, it will be assumed that our terms and conditions have been accepted. In this regard, Expe Perú is not responsible for any extraordinary situations.

Passenger Obligations Established According to EXPE PERU Policies

 

  • Respond clearly and accurately to all questions and requests, including the completion of forms sent by our sales staff.

  • Follow the instructions provided by the team during the tour.

  • Attendance at the mandatory briefing sessions, held prior to your tour, is essential to begin the experience properly.

  • Comply with all obligations established in these Terms and Conditions.

Payment Policies
We use PayPal to process deposits, making it easy to pay with a credit card. Please note there is a 7% fee for using PayPal for international transfers.

For groups of more than 8 people, we accept bank transfers. If you would like more information about this option, please contact us at info@expe-peru.com.

Policies for In-Person Payment Methods

  • In-Person Payment Policies

    Cash, credit card, and PayPal will be accepted for final payments. No passenger may begin their tour until full payment has been completed.

    • Cash payments are due the day before the tour and can be made during the pre-tour briefing. We accept U.S. dollars and Peruvian soles.
      Note: Torn or damaged bills, regardless of the size of the tear, will not be accepted.

    • PayPal payments are due one week before the departure of the tour or trek.

    • If the balance is not paid at least two days before the trip departure, a 10% fee will be applied instead of the regular 8%.

    • All bank or transfer fees must be covered by the client.

Cancellation Policies

  • All cancellation requests must be made via email by the person who made the booking and paid the deposit, sent to: info@expe-peru.com

  • Cancellations made 30 days or more in advance will not incur additional charges, except for excursions with specific terms (e.g., name-specific excursions).

  • If the client cancels between 10 and 30 days before the trip, a fee of 50% of the total trip cost will apply.

  • If the client cancels between 3 and 10 days before the trip, they must pay 80% of the total cost.

  • If the client cancels 2 days or less before the trip, 100% of the total cost will be charged.

  • In the rare case that a client decides to leave once the trek has started, no refunds will be granted. The client will also be responsible for any additional expenses resulting from their decision, such as food, lodging, or transportation.

  • If a client is unable to participate in a trekking tour due to illness or physical issues, no refund will be provided. The client must also cover any extra costs incurred, such as food, accommodation, and transport.

  • In the event of a natural disaster or force majeure that prevents the service from being completed, a 50% refund will be issued, taking into account administrative expenses.

  • If a natural disaster or external event causes a change in the trekking route, no refund will be given.

  • In light of the recent global pandemic, if a service cannot be provided due to a pandemic or force majeure, no refunds will be issued. Instead, the client will receive an open-date ticket to use the service at a later time, subject to availability.

  • Failure to show up for the assigned tour will be considered a no-show, and no refunds will be provided under any circumstance

Modification Policies

  • To change the date of an excursion, a fee of US$50.00 per person will apply if the request is made more than 30 days in advance.

  • If the modification is made between 21 and 30 days before the excursion, the fee will be US$75.00 per person.

  • If the modification is made between 10 and 20 days before the excursion, the fee will be US$100.00 per person.

  • For changes made less than 10 days before the excursion, different fees will apply, calculated at the time of the request depending on availability and date.

  • Modifications must be made to join another group tour with a minimum of 2 participants. If a solo traveler requests a date change and no group is available on the desired date, the change will not be possible.

Travel Insurance

We recommend travel insurance for all our clients.

The coverage should include baggage loss, accidents, emergency air rescue, and trip cancellation. Trip cancellation insurance should reimburse non-refundable land or air expenses if you cancel your trip due to personal or family illness, and should also cover medical evacuation expenses if necessary.

In the event of illness or injury during one of our tours, our team is trained to provide emergency first aid and coordinate transport to an appropriate medical facility. However, we are not responsible for the cost of transportation or medical services.

Risks

By booking any of our adventure trips, the client accepts the risks associated with personal accidents, medical emergencies, flight-related issues, and similar situations. In any of these cases, Expe Perú assumes no responsibility.

Cancellation Policies for Adventure Tours

Expe Perú is not responsible for unfavorable weather conditions, natural disasters, pandemics, strikes, accidents, illnesses, injuries, loss of personal belongings, or similar events. It is the client’s responsibility to carry insurance that covers such situations.

We reserve the right to modify or cancel the program due to any of the unforeseen conditions mentioned above.

Right to Use Images

The client agrees and grants Expe Perú the right to use images, photos, and videos taken during participation in any of our packages for any type of advertising, at no cost.
